2025-05-01 - ChardonMAY: 2022 Chardonnay Release Pairing

Throughout the month of May, on Fridays-Sundays, we invite you to our curated Chardonnay wine and food pairing tasting featuring our new 2022 vintage! This tasting is designed to explore the versatility of Chardonnay, a grape that can range from fresh and crisp to rich and oaky. Through these pairings, we’ll explore how Chardonnay’s varying characteristics—bright acidity, creamy texture, and oak influence—interact with different flavors and textures in food. Each pairing will bring out various facets of the wine, allowing you to experience this timeless grape’s true depth and elegance.

Members: $25 | Non-Members: $65

2025-05-17 - Spring Allocation Release

Celebrate the release of your spring allocation with an afternoon at the Estate House. Enjoy tastings of our newest wines, live music by Robert Meade, and yummy bites while you pick up your club allocation. Reservations are encouraged to help us prepare for your visit.

2025-05-31 - Magic in the Mountains

Discover the allure of Magic in the Mountains, an annual celebration presented by the Chehalem Mountains Winegrowers. Join us as we toast to the remarkable wines and close-knit community of the Chehalem Mountains. It’s an event not to be missed—come experience the magic with us!

This event will be held at The Allison Inn & Spa from 1-4pm. Tickets are $75.

2025-05-31 - Vikings on the Vine Winemakers Tasting

Join alumni and friends for the second annual Vikings on the Vine Winemaker’s Tasting event on Saturday, May 31, 1-4pm at Stoller Family Estate.

We invite you to taste wines from Portland State University alumni-affiliated wineries across the Willamette Valley, meet the winemakers, and mingle with fellow alumni while enjoying delicious food at the beautiful Stoller Family Estate. Participating wineries are: Archetype 12 Wines, Kramer Vineyards, Ze Wines, Bellingar Estates, Caelestis Cellars, Winter’s Hill Estate, Ocelli, Cellars, Balsall Creek, Eagles Nest Reserve Vineyard & Winery, and Chehalem Wines.

Tickets are $40 for adults 21+ and $15 for minors. 

2025-06-07 - Sips & Sounds featuring Haley Johnsen

Join us for Summer Sips & Sounds at Balsall Creek on Saturday, June 7. Enjoy live music from Haley Johnsen (6–8 PM), wood-fired pizza from Wooden Heart Pizza starting at 5 PM, and Balsall Creek wine by the glass. This indoor/outdoor evening is the perfect way to soak in summer in the Chehalem Mountains. HALEY JOHNSEN is an Oregon-born singer-songwriter known for her powerful voice and genre-blending style, combining Americana soul with alt-pop energy. A standout finalist from American Idol Season 11, she’s shared stages with KT Tunstall and Joseph, and performed at venues like Coachella and Red Rocks. Her latest EP, Late Bloomer, is a bold and heartfelt celebration of growth, grit, and self-expression.

Join us for this fun and informative class all about Pinot Meunier, the often-overlooked grape that quietly plays a major role in Champagne and is starting to shine on its own. We’ll explore where it comes from, how it grows, and why winemakers are getting excited about it—plus, you’ll get to taste our still and sparkling Meunier wines from the estate. Whether you’re a wine lover, a curious sipper, or just looking for a great glass and good company, this is your chance to learn, taste, and connect with fellow Balsall Creek fans.

2025-06-13 - Wine Pairing Dinner with Guest Chef Rob Connoley

Join us Friday, June 13 for a seven course pairing meal curated and prepared by James Beard Finalist, Chef Rob Connoley.

Chef Rob Connoley is a four-time James Beard honoree with a 2024 JBF Finalist for Best Chef – Midwest. In 2022 and 2023 his Bulrush restaurant was named one of the top 50 restaurants in the country by Wine Enthusiast magazine, as well as featured repeatedly on the BBC, Forbes and The World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ website.
Now living in Goose Hollow Portland, Chef Rob operates 100% from scratch, heavily foraged, and excessively locally sourced, with food inspired by the historic cultures of wherever he is cooking. His wine passion is gamay and any wines that tell the story of the land.

We are leaning into our Scandinavian heritage and hosting a Midsummer Celebration to kick off the summer season. Experience the magic of Midsummer and join us for this lively event on one of the longest days of the year!
Enjoy a whimsical evening atop the vines celebrating our expansive array of estate-grown white and sparkling wines: Aligoté, Sauvignon Blanc, Estate and Owens Reserve Chardonnay, and Sparkling Brut. Alchemy NW is catering a BBQ dinner, we’ll have live music by Nate Macy, and Roots Floral will be on site hand-crafting flower crowns for purchase.
